East Coast - West Coast Half & Half: 50 Island Creeks & 50 Hama Hama

East Coast - West Coast Half & Half: 50 Island Creeks & 50 Hama Hama

For the true oysters lovers out there, from sea to shining sea.

EAST:Ā 50Ā Island Creek Oysters from Duxbury, MA

WEST: 50 Hama Hama Oysters from Lilliwaup, WA⁣⁣⁣

Hama Hama Oysters:Ā These are among our favorite West Coast oysters, coming from our friends at the Hama Hama Oyster Farm - grown directly on gravel beaches at the confluence of fresh water and salt.

How they taste: Exposed twice a day by the outgoing tide and jostled by shifting currents, Hama Hamas are slow-growing and beach-hardened, with occasionally gnarly, rocky shells. They're known for a clean, crisp flavor that finishes with a hint of melon-rind or cucumber.

Ā

Island Creek Oysters are our flagship oyster, grown right here in Duxbury, Massachusetts.Ā
⁣
How they taste: The quintessential East Coast oyster experience. With a highly segmented flavor profile, strong salinity up front gives way to vegetal, buttery richness and a long sweet finish. It doesn't get any better than this. These complex flavors are attributed to a life spent on the ocean floor, dug into the mineral-rich mud of Duxbury Bay.
